Heath Avery Architects has sustainability
embedded within the office culture and have always
provided clients and design teams with forward-thinking
environmentally-friendly design.
In the early 1990’s, the Building Research
Establishment (BRE) developed a method for the
environmental appraisal of developments, called
the Building Research Establishment Environmental
Assessment Method, commonly known as Breeam.
Breeam assessments are now a recognised benchmark
for a building’s environmental performance
and are becoming part of local planning authority
requirements. The assessment methods were developed
to enable a development to be recognised for its
environmental credentials and provide a credible
environmental rating for buildings. The assessments
are credit-based and measure different parameters
of a building against a wide range of environmental
criteria established by BRE. According to performace
of the buildings or developments, overall grades
of pass, good, very good, excellent or outstanding
may be awarded.
Heath Avery Architects offers the full suite of
Breeam services, within all sectors:
Bespoke, Courts, Ecohomes, Healthcare, Industrial,
International, Multi-residential, Prisons, Offices,
